Let's jump ahead to two shows you won't want to miss this fall. Although details for events in August and early September are on their way, we wanted to go ahead and give you these firm dates now:
On September 27, 2013, right in the middle of 17 Days Arts & Culture Festival, we're bringing Shana Tucker to "The Mane Stage" as a part of The Improvising Music Series of Greensboro College. This "ChamberSoul" cellist and singer/songwriter hasn't played in NC in a while, and we're excited to bring her back to our area. Series curator, Dave Fox, will also be the evening's emcee.
The following weekend, on October 5, 2013, we're switching musical gears to present a more down-home fare at Sessions in downtown Greensboro. The night will open with a local original music showcase followed by Nikki Talley. Later in the evening audiences will be treated to the sounds of The South Carolina Broadcasters, our headliners for the evening. Country, bluegrass, folk and old-time music lovers will want to be sure and catch this line-up when these road warriors roll back into town.
We're thrilled to be able to bring these performers to Greensboro, and have some awesome stories to tell you about all of them, soon. For now, check out their sites and hear some of their sounds. And remember to block out these dates on your calendars!
